Woo-hoo - another transportation post!  My post from last year is one of my most popular posts!   There is no way around it, kids love modes of transportation.  Trains, planes, boats..you name it!  This week we built ramps for cars, built roads from rubber tile samples, flew some awesome airplanes (thanks to Mr. Scott for the great idea!), learned the order of traffic lights.....too much to list!

Here are the very few photos I captured...

Clothespin Airplanes: I used two popsicle sticks hot glued to the front and then cut the back stick in half.
(Here is where I found this idea)

Then they painted the airplanes!  This was one of those adult made "crafts"....I know that's not great...BUT think of it as a toy! They were so excited to play with their planes! :)

Twinkly Traffic Lights: Premade circles...paint each circle appropriate color.  My paint had corn syrup and glitter in it.  We also sprinkled glitter on top to make it extra twinkly. :)

Then we cut them out and glued them to a strip of black paper.

Our other transportation craft I am saving for an Earth Day project post...stay tuned!

  1. Oh, I love those airplanes! My daughter is a bit fixed on airplanes at the moment. I am going to have to make a few of those for her :)

  2. I love the traffic light. I'm putting this on our list of projects to go along with our future FIAR row of Mr. Gumpy's Motorcar. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Cute, fun, educational and easy!
Mine would like doing these. Thanks!

I'd love to hear what your thoughts are...leave a comment! :)
