Fall Fun

I realize that I haven't been posting much.  I've been super busy!  This time of year is always the busiest, in the classroom and out!  Parties, festivals, (working) events, out of town know how it goes.  Oh, and a very busy, very curious and very mobile almost 1 year old at home that keeps me from the computer! :)

Here are a few projects that we've worked on for fall:

Egg Carton Fall Tree Prints, found on Teach Preschool.

She had the children draw the bare tree (which was super cute!!)but we used their arm/hand.  Trace, color, stamp!
Paper Bag Pumpkins: one of my all time favorite fall projects.  Stuff the bag (it can be a brown or white bag) with crumpled newspaper and then secure the top with a rubber band.  I had the children hold on to the stem when they painted, for ease.

You can opt to paint the stem or color with marker.  Add rafia, ribbon or yarn around the rubber band for the leaves/vine.

  1. Love them both! And love the handprint trees!!

  2. thanks for sharing...i love the use of the egg carton! we're definitely doing those!

i know it's hard to find time to post when we're having those busy spells...I usually have to decide if I'm going to do more posting or more reading with my free time : )
