Q-Tip Art

Lesson plans were set (not in stone) and materials had been gathered.  I read through all the fabulous blogs and find that Preschool Daze has the same materials in mind!  Her project turned out great.  Open-ended art.  Love it.  So, our project today involved Q-tips (well, actually cotton swabs-didn't want to waste money on the REAL ones).  We used Q-tips in place of paintbrushes and then after our picture was complete, used gooey glue to add Q-tips to our paintings.  I wasn't sure how this would turn out.  I was so thrilled when I saw them actually building things with these cotton swabs.  Houses, gates around gardens, grass blades and even Darth Vader had his light saber!

  1. This is one of my favorite things to do! You can do so much with q-tip art!

  2. I love Q-tip art. And getting messy! But I've never incorporated the swabs into the art. We may need to do this soon.

I'd love to hear what your thoughts are...leave a comment! :)
