MONSTER Toast!!

Every once in awhile we need to 'clean' out the snack cabinet. Leftovers, as we call it in my house. We gathered a bag of cereal that had not so much of a bowl left, a handful of raisins leftover from a trail mix we made and sliced up the remaining fruit leathers. My aide ( who I love dearly and couldn't live without!!) came up with Monster Toast. She gave the children a few snack items and a piece of peanut butter toast. We let them create their own monster, sticky mess and all.

FEROCIOUS!!!!
(And Yummy!)

  1. I love it! They look like they might go with "Go Away Green Monster". I have a very severe peanut allergy in my room, so I'll have to think of a way I can modify this so I can try it soon!! :)

  2. A terrific idea as usual, Jessi. It's an edible art project! We would have to use cream cheese (due to allergies) but I imagine it would work just as well.

I love this idea! It reminds me of "Go Away Green Monster". I have severe peanut allergies in my room, but I'll have to come up with a way to improvise because this idea is just too cute not to try! :)

  5. I have been very, very lucky that in the past 2 years we have had no peanut allergies. :) There is always cream cheese, as Tom mentioned above, and in the past we have used sesame butter. It's pretty tasty. :)

  6. I absolutely love this idea! I've sometimes used these same sort of leftovers to create little baggies of trail mix. Or we have Friday Snack Buffet. This would be an awesome idea for those Friday afternoon snacks. Thanks!
