Snowman Ornaments

CUTE, CUTE, CUTE! Thanks to one of my parents, Kellie, for this cute craft idea. We are using them as gifts for our parents this year. I recycled some of my old silver ball ornaments to do this project.

Step 1. Paint the child's hand white and allow them to "grab" the ball from the bottom. It should look like 5 snowmen standing in snow. Allow to dry. (We made a clothesline and pinned them up to dry.)

Step 2. Use a permanent marker to add details such as, eyes, buttons, scarves, carrot nose. The child's name and year were also added.

Step 3. Write/type up this cute poem (courtesy of Kellie's daughters teacher) to some cardstock and attach to the ornament with pretty ribbon. Voila!

These aren't just five snowmen
As anyone can see.
I made them with my hand
Which is a part of me.
Now each year when you trim the tree
You'll look back to recall
Christmas of 2009
When my hand was just this small.
